The narration and script are by Katie Brown a writer and IYTA trained Yoga teacher and pre-and-post natal Yoga specialist. Katie holds natural childbirth, infant massage classes and Post-natal survival workshops on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. She has a five-year-old son, Lucas and a two-year-old daughter, India. Katie says: "Every mum knows how tense those first few months with a baby can be. These relaxations are practical, fun and very calming. As a new mum I decided to write a relaxation that you can do while breast or bottle feeding your baby - we spend so much time feeding, that it makes so much sense to combine this time with bonding and relaxing with your baby. And there's a deep relaxation based around the chakras to help you feel energised and promote well-being. You can do this relaxation before you go to bed, or when you want to rest. I wrote these relaxations as I found that often new mums find it hard to let go. All you have to do is find a quiet spot, draw the curtains and pop the CD on and listen...you may drift off and get some much-needed sleep, or simply let go of tension. It's about nurturing yourself to give you more energy, reduce stress and enjoy this wonderful, but tough time with your new baby."
