YOGABABES DVD

I've been using the Yoga Babes Yoga for Pregnancy and Birth DVD from the moment I found out I was pregnant. It's a gentle, revitalising and relaxing DVD and Katie is great at making you feel confident and peaceful with the rollercoaster ride of pregnancy. The poses all feel very fluid to me and I never feel strained or unsure of what I'm doing. The neck and shoulder release exercises have prevented my regular headaches so I'm relieved about not having to take any pills during pregnancy. I pop on the DVD before work in the morning to feel closer to my baby aswell as stronger and more relaxed in my body and peaceful in my mind.

The yoga DVD is fantastic.  I will be taking my yoga mat into the birthing suite and definitely incorporating elements of your DVD into our birth plan.  This DVD is brilliant, thank you.
I can't believe how much attending pre natal yoga classes has helped loosen and prepare my body, particularly the inner thighs, neck and shoulders.  My body was quite tight and would up from playing in a female rugby union comp and working as a functions coordinator.  After each lesson I could feel the difference in my body.  Now I just rave about pre natal yoga to all my friends!

I was busy complaining to the obstetrician about how uncomfortable I was finding sleeping.  He said that I would experience everything four weeks earlier this pregnancy than last.  But this discomfort, stiffness etc seems to be about four months early! Then I suddenly thought it might be lack of exercise.  I've been sick so long this pregnancy that I've done no exercise and yet last time I was doing lots of swimming and yoga.  So I did your yoga DVD and that night I had the best most comfortable sleep I'd had in ages.  I did it again yesterday and last night had another good night.  I shall make sure I do it as often as I can. It's amazing what a bit of stretching does for you.

I am now just over 6 months pregnant, and Iam getting so much from undertaking the two prenatal sessions on the DVD - before work, after work and on weekends. I find the DVD very centering, and its doing wnders for my sciatic/ hip twinge which can plague me throughout the ay. You have a wonderful gentle way of instructing through the DVD and CD - and I really appreciate having the guidance from your instructions and relaxation sessions.

I was so happy to have found the Yoga Babes DVD advertisement in a magazine that I was reading at the Doctor’s surgery. Being my 3rd pregnancy I had this time around the stresses on my body that I did not have 1st and 2nd times. I was used to walking 3-5 km every second day. I was finding this more and more difficult due to being extremely tired and the increased pressure on my back was getting quite painful. Having looked up the Yoga Babes site I decided I was going to take up yoga at home. I have found the techniques used in the DVD not only stretch out areas in my neck, shoulders and back that I could not possible have done with any other exercise program but also have helped me to sleep better. I am now 23 weeks pregnant and starting to get a little uncomfortable sleeping I find doing the yoga after I have put my children to bed gives me time to relax and time out which is adding to the sleep bliss I am experiencing. Well done Katie and team for putting together a great Yoga DVD for us mums.

Pre-natal Yoga Relaxations

I was looking for a Yoga Nidra CD and found Katie's pre-natal Yoga relaxations. It's fantastic! Really relaxing and helped me bond with my baby. I've listened to it about twenty times and I'm not sick of it at all! It's also got a great relaxation section for you and your partner, which we love. Thank you!

Dear Katie, I recently purchased a copy of the Pre Natal CD and I love it - I listen to it twice daily - I'm due with my first baby in three days and it has really helped calm those pre-labour nerves (although I often have trouble staying awake for the whole track as it is so relaxing!). I now feel much more mentally prepared for the labour and I'm looking forward to my first contraction rather than dreading it!

It really was fabulous to attend your yoga. Attending yoga truly helped me enormously throughout both the pregnancy and labour. I had bought your pre-natal CD and before the birth had jotted down a few of the phrases from the birthing confidence script to really think about and really found myself recalling this in the throws of it all!! So a huge thankyou to you.

Post-natal Yoga Relaxations

I lent my friend a copy of your Post Natal Relaxations CD (as she’s been having a lot of trouble sleeping).

She said she’s now sleeping in her study because she can play the CD on her computer on repeat all night. She said she’s now sleeping like a baby and if she does happen to wake, she just hears your voice and falls straight back to sleep!!

So I just thought you may like to know that you are making a big difference to somebody’s life. And just for the record, I still listen to the chakra balancing one regularly (even though I’m hardly considered “post natal” any more) and it is like having someone “re-fill the tank” when I’m feeling tired…the best!

I started listening to the post-natal Yoga CD while I was pregnant and when Alicia was born I played it all the time. It was great as Alicia recognised Katie's voice and settled immediately - so we'd both relax together. We both benefited from it and I found Katie's voice very comforting and the relaxations always put me at ease.
